Join us for the evening of March 8th as we host a get-together for watch lovers following the British Watchmakers Day in London. We’ve booked a pub close to the show venue and we’ll be there from 5:00PM when the show ends.

You’ll meet other watch enthusiasts, talk about what you saw (or purchased!) at the show, and carry on an awesome day of watches in London. The pub has plenty of space, great natural light, and a full pub menu for those who get hungry.

Join us on Saturday 29th March as we head to London's Science Museum to see the Versailles: Science and Splendour Exhibition. This is a historical examination of the inventions and scientists present in France in the early 19th Century. The feature highlight of the exhibition is one of the most complicated watches ever made, known as the Marie Antoinette, designed by famous French watchmaker Abraham-Louis Breguet. We'll also visit The Clockmakers Museum and have a coffee or pint afterwards.

 Christopher Wegener. Pragma are a young high horology company focussing on making Swiss made as transparent as possible. They publish every detail of all of the parts that go into their watches. We're putting together a fantastic itinerary for watch enthusiasts, taking in the Museums and Manufactures of Biel followed by two full days at Geneva Watch Days. You'll be with a small group of watch lovers as we tour the Omega and Swatch Museums and visit manufacturers like Armin Strom and Christopher Ward in Biel. We'll then take the train to Geneva for the first two days of the Geneva Watch Days show. Each evening there will be a Collectors Dinner and drinks, and maybe even some parties in Geneva. Join us for a fun-filled and action-packed itinerary in Geneva during the week of the

While there we’ll arrange exclusive touch and feel sessions at a range of brands (last year included JLC, TAG Heuer, Hermes, Bremont and more), and help you navigate this enormous show. On the Thursday and Friday, we’ll be going to the 

 show, The Hotel Beau Rivage, and some of the other boutiques and exhibitions in the city. We’ll also arrange nightly dinners and access to some fun watch community parties. You’ll be able to take part in as much or as little as you like.

Global Settings

One of the most exciting things to happen in the watch world over the last 15 years has been a boom in so-called Microbrands. These brands are often started by someone with a simple idea and desire to create their own watch. They use suppliers to help with design, manufacturing and supply and often do all their own marketing. They may use a platform like Kickstarter to raise funds to have the watch produced. We've written a more thorough introduction here, and in today's post we want to reflect on the fact that this boom in new watch brands doesn't seem to be slowing down.
